Tetsuya KITADA
Design B.A., Tama Art University, Tokyo
"Drawing Illustrations is so much fun, like jamming
on a guitar or rumbling and roaring on a motorcycle!,"
Mr. Kitada excitedly says. For him, there is no difference
selling his art works for millions or T-shirts for ten
dollars. "What I have to do is to create powerful and
charming Illustrations with great qualities. That's
it." His audience-friendly avant-garde style Illustrations
have appeared in numerous magazines and on television
and are widely appreciated in Japan. Mr. Kitada has
immersed himself in Art, and has absorbed aspects from
Renaissance to Contemporary Art while exploring his
own vision. "What you see is what you get, so I want
my audiences to be free to feel what they see in my
work." Next year he will publish a book that is a mixture
of picture books and Manga. "Everyday I want to create
better than the day before."
