Takashi AKIYAMA

"We have such an unlimited appetite for communication. Illustration itself is primitive, thus, its capability to communicate with others is immense," says Mr. Akiyama. He has led the Japanese creative circle for decades as a prominent artist and a leader of Art academia. Akiyama received his B.A. from Tama Art University, Tokyo and his M.A. from Tokyo National University of Fine Arts and Music, as well as Honorary Doctorate of Philosophy in Art. He is also a professor of Tama Art University, Tokyo. Jury of International Poster Exhibition in Helsinki, Mexico, Italy and Ukraine. His hometown, Nagaoka city established the "Foundation of Takashi Akiyama Nagaoka Collection" in 1999.
